Furthermore

Yesterday I put up a post about the little doo-dad I'm doing about interviewing an author. I read it over today and decided that there needed to be some clarifications: First, the question that you may email me along with the author you chose for me to interview will be for them, not me. Second, there is a one email per person policy. We need to be fair. Third, as of right now there is no date that I have decided to choose as the end-of-entry-time. I will stop accepting entries either when I reach too many emails than I can manage, or when there is a clear winner. I will, obviously, notify you guys when that time comes. Lastly, no one but me gets to know which author is going to be interviewed until the day I post the interview. (Surprises are fun, right?)  Let the entries begin!

Your Opinion Will Help Me AND You!

 So, as I was fantasizing which YA authors I would love to interview, when I thought, "Hey, why not get the readers' opinion?" That, my friends, is exactly what I intend to do. There are so many great authors out there, most of them I haven't even heard of, and I couldn't possibly appeal to all of you guys by just picking one of my own favorite authors. I wouldn't even scratch the surface of all the popular YA authors!
Here are the terms and conditions -sometimes even I need to sound official.
1.) Send and email to me at thingaboutbooks@gmail.com.
2.) Include the name of the YA author you would like me to interview, and a single (yes, that means ONE) question you'd like me to answer.
3.) Don't get upset if your author isn't chosen. A- There are going to be many emails, and B- I have to get the author's approval before I can even interview them.

In The Beginning...

Alrighty then, let's get started! This, I now declare, shall be my introductory post. This blog is for discussing, having fun with, and talking about books. I'll do my best to keep up with the posts; speaking of which... the posts will vary from books I'm looking forward to -ahem ahem:City of Fallen Angels-, to the occasional book review, to suggesting books to each other, and all the way to asking you guys questions to help me better my writing. Please refrain from doing/saying naughty things -tsk tsk- and if you have any questions e-mail me or tweeting is just as well. Please excuse my occasional overreacting and long sentences.
